Standard

Standard plasterboard, also known as drywall or wallboard, is a type of gypsum-based building material. Gypsum is a soft mineral that is ground into a fine powder and then combined with water and other additives to form a slurry. Pouring the slurry between two layers of paper creates a panel, which is then dried and cut to size.

Standard plasterboard is commonly used in the construction of walls and ceilings, where it is nailed or screwed to framing members. After installing the plasterboard, the joints between the panels are usually filled with joint compound and sanded smooth to create a seamless, smooth surface. Plasterboard is a common choice for many construction and renovation projects because it is relatively inexpensive and easy to work with.
