Impact & Security
Impact-resistant plasterboard, also known as security plasterboard, is a type of plasterboard specifically designed to protect against impacts and other types of damage. Impact-resistant plasterboard, like standard plasterboard, is made of gypsum, but it is reinforced with additional materials, such as glass fibres, to increase its strength and durability.
Impact-resistant plasterboard is commonly used in the construction of buildings that require security and durability, such as schools, hospitals, and public buildings. It is typically installed in the same manner as standard plasterboard in walls and ceilings. Impact-resistant plasterboard is frequently used in high-traffic areas or areas prone to impacts, such as corridors and entrances.
